What are sarcoids?
Equine sarcoids are skin tumours, usually they are benign but can be invasive and sometimes bleeding may occur. They can occur in the thighs, sheath, groin, inner neck, mouth and eyelids of the horse. Younger animals are more prone to the virus as they have little or no immunity. Sarcoids are caused by a virus that effects cattle. It is through that, areas of damaged skin or indeed the rubbing of skin may allow the virus to enter, flies can also act as a transmitter of the virus.
H.S.S spray works by killing the virus on the skin and healing may take a period of time, 2-3 weeks depending on how established the sarcoid is.
Available in 500ml.
